Certificate in Advanced Emergency Medical Technician

Course Description

This competency-based Certificate in Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) training at KRCTI is available for 12 months full-time or 18 months part-time. It features dual training, combining face-to-face instruction and workplace clinical placements. The course uses the KRCTI LMS for resource access, discussions, assignments, test results, and the Jones & Bartlett platform for eBooks, quizzes, simulations, and lectures.  

The program also uses a blended learning approach, integrating in-person and online (OdeL) sessions. The curriculum includes 16 basic and core units, all of which must be completed to earn the AEMT qualification. Trainees must maintain at least 90% class attendance and 100% participation in practical sessions, field excursions, and 3-month clinical placements. Practical training covers clinical settings like emergency operations center/ambulance, casualty, obstetrics, critical care, and pediatrics.

  6. Meet the academic and practical requirements for the AEMT qualification. 
  7. Work effectively as part of multidisciplinary healthcare teams. 
  8. Be prepared to adapt to diverse preclinical and clinical environments.
