Course Description

This course is tailored to meet the statutory requirement for employees in the workplace as contained in the factory Act cap 514 Legal Notice 160 of the Laws of Kenya. The course targets all individuals in any institutions and companies. With increased number of emergencies and disasters in work places there is the need to develop lifesaving knowledge and skills in the work place. 

Course Objectives

  1. Learn incident management  
  2. Manage workplace injuries and medical emergencies. 
  3. Understand legal first-aid responsibilities in the workplace.  
  4. Perform CPR and AED use.  
  5. Manage wounds, burns, and fractures. 
  6. Manage environmental emergencies. 
  7. Manage Emergency Childbirth. 
  8. Perform Psychological First Aid 
  9. Demonstrate lifting and moving techniques 
  10. Provide immediate care until professional help arrives
