KRCTI in Collaboration with IFE is offering Level 2 Certificate in Fire Science, Operations and Safety for fire professionals. The content of the qualification has been designed to reflect best professional practice and covers key areas of the course. 

Course Objectives

  1. Understanding Fire Science – Learn the chemistry and physics of fire, including ignition, combustion, and heat transfer. 
  2. Fire Prevention & Protection – Study fire risk assessment, fire safety planning, and prevention techniques. 
  3. Fire Safety Engineering Design – Learn to design fire protection systems such as sprinklers, alarms, and smoke control systems. 
  4. Structural Fire Safety – Understand how buildings and materials behave under fire conditions and apply fire-resistant design principles. 
  5. Emergency Management & Response – Develop skills in fire-fighting techniques, rescue operations, and disaster management. 
  6. Legal & Regulatory Compliance – Understand fire safety regulations, codes, and standards applicable to different industries. 
  7. Investigation & Analysis – Learn fire investigation techniques to determine causes and prevent future incidents. 
  8. Environmental & Occupational Safety – Study the environmental impact of fires and safety measures for workers handling fire-related risks 

Requirements

  1. Fire Marshal/First aid Certificate 
  2. AEMT/Paramedic certificate/diploma 
  3. KCSE Graduate
