Functions of Student Welfare in Kenya Red Cross Training Institute

1. Counseling Services:

Providing psychological support to help students cope with personal challenges, academic stress, and emotional issues.

2. Health Services

Ensuring access to medical care, health education, and wellness programs to maintain physical health.

3. Academic Support

Offering tutoring, study groups, and resources to help students succeed academically.

4. Financial Assistance

Providing information about scholarships, grants, and just in case of the student is admitted in hospital or even the death of a parent we refer to the student welfare policy for assistance.

5. Extracurricular Activities

Organizing clubs, sports, and cultural events to promote social interaction and personal growth outside the classroom

6. Accommodation and Housing Support

Assisting students in finding safe and affordable housing options.

7. Career Guidance

Offering resources and advice on career planning, internships, and job placement to prepare students for the workforce.

8. Advocacy and Representation

Formation of the student council which acts as a voice for student concerns and needs within the institution, ensuring that their rights and interests are well represented.
